Job Description:
Saab, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing System Application Analyst to help establish and grow our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, Indiana where we manufacture the rear section of the T-7A Red Hawk military trainer aircraft for the United States Air Force. The Manufacturing System Application Analyst will be responsible for various system application support and integrations including, troubleshooting and support, change work and development of the Manufacturing applications.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide System Application support to end users for Metrology systems and laser tracking systems, Virtual Reality technology, Andon manufacturing systems support, Supporting our Autonomous Mobile Robots, Production line Intelligent line storage cabinets.
Drive educational efforts and develop educational materials for end users in reference to all systems above.
Work with the business to define needs, generate requirements and plan tasks.
Design, configure, test and document system solutions based on business requirements.
Test bug fixes and change work.
Participate in projects and development assignments linked to the Manufacturing Applications and systems.
Handle user incidents in an IT Service Management system.
Ensure seamless integration between operational technology and informational technology.
Configure new devices to the shop-floor network.
Troubleshoot issues with existing smart devices.
Install software deliveries from partners and suppliers.
Administer licenses associated with each application associated with this role.
Compensation Range: $69,100- $84,600
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent experience
2+ years of related experience is required
Understanding of Manufacturing systems support and integrations
Understanding of Linux based operating systems and database technologies
Experience with BI reporting and statistical analysis, including Power BI
Strong analytical, and investigative skills
High levels of accountability, demonstrated initiative and innovation
Flexibility and ability to manage workload and achieve results with minimal supervision
Ability to work effectively in an international project team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
Experience with LAN/WAN architectures.
Knowledge of IOT/Operational Technology.
Experience with SQL & Oracle architectures.
Knowledge of Windows based operating systems.
Knowledge of common network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP
Thorough understanding of industrial manufacturing workflow.
Experience in technical support (tier I & II)
Experience with LAN/WAN architectures.
Must be onsite 5 days a week 8-5, some overtime as needed
