Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is in search of motivated, enthusiastic business/economics/law/finance student(s) who would be interested in putting their studies to real-work practice through a Co-op/Intern opportunity at our location in East Syracuse, NY.
 

There are 2 positions available--2025 Spring (January - April, part-time) and 2025 Summer (May - August, full-time).

In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.

As part of the Contracts function, you will be working with our Contracts Professionals to support the provision of products and services to our US Government customers.

Responsibilities and learning opportunities include:

  • Contracts database management

  • Pre-contract risk analysis

  • Assist with the administration of government, commercial and international contracts

  • Participating in reviews and status meetings

  • Contracts Closeout

  • Presentation and team-building

Compensation Range: $18-$20/hr

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

  • Attention to detail

  • The ability to prepare, organize and maintain contract records and files

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in Oracle, IFS, SharePoint, JIRA or similar systems

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an accredited degree program with a major in Business, Law, or related discipline

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better

  • Must have completed Sophomore year or greater

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
